Swan Valley High School vs Frankenmuth High School
2 28

The Frankenmuth boys varsity bowling team hosted the Vikings from Swan Valley this past Saturday at Candlelite Sports Center. The Eagles were snowed out of there practices this past week but appeared to be well rested.
The Eagles Fired a nice Baker to start things off winning 197 to 136. They fell off a little in baker #2 by missing a few spares but still held on to win 166 to 131.
The Eagles were soaring threw the first Peterson with red hot lead off man Cameron Severs pacing them with a whopping 235 and anchorman Hunter Garchow firing a solid 215. The Eagles took the Peterson 886 to 750. Peterson #2 saw more of the same from Severs as he threw strike after strike for a 212, but not to be outdone Senior Hunter Garchow through several strikes down the stretch for a 223. The Eagles took the game 928 to 734 and the match 28 points to 2
Also throwing good for the Eagles was Nate Bauer with a solid 177, Zach Schmitzer 163 and Alec martin 160.

Coaches Comments: This was the first time this season we capitalized when the opportunity presented itself. We would have a great frame and throw 4 or 5 strikes and then come back and 2 or 3 guys would double up. we did that a number of times today.
The team is starting to strengthen from top to bottom, we still need to clean up a few spare shooting items but I’m pleased with our progress at the halfway point.
This team is capable of making a big run in the post season …..BUT we need to continue to grind and get better. We have the Garber Dukes this Wednesday on there home lanes and we need to be on!!!!

The Eagles next up have TVC East rival the Essexville Garber Dukes at Alert Lanes in Bay City this Wednesday 2/24 at 6 pm

JV Gray faced off against the Heritage Hawks this past Sunday morning and after a hard fought battle on a challenging oil pattern the hawks prevailed 17 to 13. Freshman Simon Haubenstricker paced them with a 150 & 139 , Justin Knopp also helped out with a 144
