The JV Eagles traveled to Garber and came away with a narrow 7 – 6 win. Nathan Morris intercepted a Garber pass at the Eagles 3 yard line with 53 seconds remaining in the game to seal the victory. The Eagles had numerous opportunities to score but three interceptions and a blocked field goal deep in Garber territory stalled the scoring chances. Garber took the early lead late in the first quarter on a 75 yard TD pass but the PAT attempt was blocked. At the 3:08 mark of the 2nd quarter, the Eagles drove 62 yards in 7 plays, capped off by a Cole Lindow 20 yard run. The all important PAT by Seth Malmo was good for a Eagle 7 – 6 lead. Lindow was the leading rusher with 107 yards rushing and he also was the leading tackler with 6. Nathaniel Jackson recovered a Garber fumble. The Eagles will host Alma next Thursday. The JV Eagles record stands at 5 – 1.
