Frankenmuth took the night cap by the score of 19-6 as the Eagles continued the offensive barrage with 15 more hits giving them 33 hits for the day. They also hit 6 Home Runs giving them 10 for the day, and scored 39 runs for the day.

Shea Hecht was the winning pitcher 5 IP, 6 R, 7 H, 4 SO, 2 BB, 5 ER.
Offensively Kaylee Kujat (Home Run, 5th of the year, SB, 4 RBI) and Claire Breinager (2 Home Runs, her 6th and 7th of the year, 4 RBI, 2 R) had 3 hits each. Anna Smith (Home Run, her second of the year, 4 RBI), Emily Coulter (3 R, 2 RBI), Kylie Wilson (2 Home Runs, her 7th and 8th of the year, 4 RBI), and Tara Keller (2 R) all had 2 hits each. Brooklin Karwat had a triple.

Tonight was about getting back to being comfortable at the plate. This past was we struggled and it showed in our confidence at the plate. We also faced some tough pitching this past week and that was part of the offense being down. In the rest of the week and the past 2 weeks we will or have played ranked teams. Garber is ranked 10th in Division 2 in which we split. We split with Standish Sterling HM in Division 2. Lost to #4 Dundee in Division 3 and lost to HM Freeland Division 2. We have beaten ranked USA Division 4. Wednesday we take on #1 ranked Division 3, Millington and next Saturday, Imlay City is HM in Division 2 and Macomb Dakota HM in Division 1 and defending State Champion. So no one can say we dodge schools. We can compete against these schools but we have to play a clean game to have a chance to beat them, we just are so young this year. But it definitely makes us stronger and it gives our girls an idea where we have to be to beat these teams.

Frankenmuth’s over all record is now 22-9.
