The Lady Eagles lost a heartbreaker on the road at Garber tonight, 50-49. Neither team was able to get much of a lead in the contest until the final quarter. The Dukes led off the fourth quarter with a quick 5-0 run to take their largest lead of the game, 39-31. Frankenmuth fought back throughout the rest of the quarter and finally re-took the lead with less than 30 seconds in the game on a Brooklin Karwat layup to go up 49-48. Following a time-out, the Dukes held the ball until the final seconds. The Eagle defense played tough and forced a difficult shot that was missed. Unfortunately, the Dukes secured the rebound and made the putback as time expired.
Emma Kerkau was the lone Eagle in double figures, finishing with 10 points on the night. Brooklin Karwat chipped in with 9 points.
