The Lady Eagles kicked off districts with a lopsided victory over Clio. Frankenmuth outscored the host Mustangs, 30-4 in the opening quarter and cruised to the victory.
Frankenmuth had 10 different players reach the scoring column, led by Lexi Boyke’s 12 points, all of which came in the opening quarter. Lexi added 6 rebounds, 4 boards, and a pair of assists. Emma Kerkau and Kelynn Kujat each added 11 points and 4 rebounds. Danielle Rummel chipped in with a season-high 9 points and hauled down 6 boards as well.
With the win, the Eagles advance to Wednesday night’s district semifinal against Birch Run. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 PM at Clio High School.
