The Lady Eagles bounced back from a loss earlier this week by heading on the road again and knocking off the Bearcats by a score of 56-30. Just a nine-point game at the half, ‘Muth seized control of the contest by outscoring Bridgeport 25-8 after the break. With the win, the Eagles improve to 5-3 on the season and 1-0 in the conference.
Juniors Kelynn Kujat and Brooklin Karwat led the way with 23 and 14 points, respectively. Brooklin also collected 7 steals, while Kelynn added 5 steals and 4 assists. Freshman Emma Kerkau played well tonight, finishing with 8 points and 3 rebounds, while senior Claire Breinager did a solid job on the boards, finishing with a team-high 9 rebounds.
The Eagles have a big week coming up next week as they face two of the top contenders in the TVC East as they travel to Garber on Tuesday and host Birch Run on Friday.
