Frankenmuth started slow but once the Eagles scored, they scored often in the 12-1 mercy win in 5 innings. The Eagles stranded 6 runners in the first three innings and trailed 1-0. But in the top of the 4th, the Eagles offense would catch fire. Faith Hippensteel was hit by the pitch. She advanced to second on a bunt by Tara Keller. Hippensteel stole third and scored when the ball went into left field tying the game at 1-1. Nicole Roddomer walked and Kaylee Kujat doubled putting runners on second and third. With 2 outs, Emily Coulter walked to load the bases. Claire Breinager doubled home two runs. Aubrie Jacob finished the scoring with an RBI single as the Eagles ended their inning with a 6-1 lead. In the top of the 5th inning, the Eagles went to the long ball. After a lead off walk to Nicole Rodammer, Kaylee Kujat hit her 4th home run of the year. Brooklin Karwat singled and stole second and then came home on Emily Coulter’s 13th home run of the year and now has the record all to herself for season home runs. The old record was 12 held by Kayla Brooks in 2014. Claire Breinager then singled which was followed by yet another 2 run home run, this time by sister Faith Breinager, her third of the year. Aubrie Jacob followed that with a double giving the Eagles 6 straight hits plus a lead off walk to start the inning.

Emily Coulter pitched the 5 inning complete game and with the win is now the career record holder for wins with 53. The record was formerly held by Heather Schultz (2006-2009). 5 IP, 1 R, 3 H, 8 SO, 1 BB, 0 ER
