Frankenmuth celebrated the seniors with a mercy win over Valley Lutheran 10-0 in 5 innings. It was also a charity game in which both teams raised money and took donations for the Mustard Seed Shelter. Over $300 was raised along with other donations. The highlight of the win was from Shea “Diggity” Hecht who threw a 5 inning perfect game. She struck out 3 to earn her 9th win of the season.
With the score 0-0, Aubrie Jacob walked. She was sacrificed to second by Faith Hippensteel. Tara Keller walked to put runners on first and second. Nicole Rodammer doubled home a run. Another run came home on a passed ball. Brooklin Karwat doubled home the third run and Emily Coulter capped off the scoring hitting a 2 run double to make the score 5-0. In the bottom of the 4th, the Eagles scored 5 more runs. A single and a stolen base by Brooklin Karwat started the inning and she came home on a RBI single by Emily Coulter. Claire Breinager followed with another single. Mackenzie Mcconnell singled home a run. Aubrie Jacob followed up with a sacrifice fly making the score 9-0. Nicole Rodammer’s RBI single finished the scoring as the Eagles retired the Chargers in order to get the win.
Emily Coulter has broken the RBI season record set by Amariah Wright in 2015 with 61. Emily actually broke the record on Saturday but this coach missed letting everyone know. She now has 63.
Brooklin Karwat (Double, 2 Runs, SB), Claire Breinager (Double), Faith Hippensteel (Double), and Nicole Rodammer all had 2 hits. Emily Coulter, Mackenzie Mcconnell, and Tara Keller (Double) all had one hit each.
