The Eagles improved their record to 5-1 by sweeping Shepherd winning 13-5 in the second game. Shea Hecht improved her record to 2-1 (5 IP, 3 SO, 0 BB, 6 hits). After the score was tied in the third 5-5, the Eagles offense exploded scoring the next 8 runs with the game being called after 5 innings due to darkness.

Brooklin Karwat (Double, 4 Runs, 3 RBI, SB), and Emily Coulter (Double, 3 RBI) each had 3 hits. Kaylee Kujat (2 Doubles, 3 runs) had 2 hits. Faith Breinager, Aubrie Jacob (RBI), Faith Hippensteel and Mackenzie Mcconnell (double RBI) all had one hit.

Despite the cold weather, the Eagles continued their hot offense by scoring in double digits in 5 out of the 6 games played. The Eagles take on Essexville Garber on Tuesday to open up conference play at home then travel to Beaverton next Saturday for their first tournament of the year, taking on USA and Byron.
