The Frankenmuth Eagles hosted the Swan Valley Vikings in a District Championship game and the Vikings claimed the championship by a 21 – 7 score. Swan Valley scored on the first play from scrimmage when Ethan Champney sprinted 55 yards to give the Vikings a 7 – 0 lead fifteen seconds into the game. The Eagles took the ensuing kickoff and Cole Lindow went 67 yards down to the Viking six yard line, but the Eagles failed to score getting stopped at the 1 yard line. The defenses dominated the action the remainder of the first half as the score remained 7 – 0. At the 3:07 mark of the 3rd quarter, the Vikings increased their lead to 14 – 0 on a Avery Goldensoph 38 yard run. The Eagles continued to battle scoring early in the 4th quarter on a 12 play – 70 yard drive capped by a Chris Mills 2 yard run and Derek Humpert’s PAT narrowed the Viking lead to 14 – 7. With 2:23 remaining in the game, Swan Valley sealed the win on a Goldensoph 1 yard run and the 21 – 7 final. Mills lead the Eagles rushers with 43 yards on 12 attempts. Colton Bryce was the leading tackler with nine.. The Eagles ended the season with a 9 – 2 record and a Tri-Valley East Championship.
