The Frankenmuth Eagles opened Tri-Valley East action with a 42 -13 win over the Panthers. The Eagle offense had 416 yards of total offense, with 262 yards rushing. Standish scored on the first play from scrimmage of the game on a 83 yard TD pass from Kolbiaz to Jennings to give the Panthers a early 6 – 0 lead. But, the Eagle offense took over, scoring four 1st half scores with Chris Mills scoring on a 3 yard run and Davin Reif added three TD passes with 41 yards to Seth Messing, 24 yards to Mills and 5 yards to Daniel Barger. In the 2nd half Reif added two rushing scores on runs of 11 yards and 6 yards. Standish added a 4th quarter score on a 27 yard run. The Eagles rushing attack was led by Mills with 85 yards, Tyler Rich with 75 yards, and Reif with 72 yards. Reif was 8 of 14 passing for 154 yards. Messing was the leading receiver with 4 receptions for 70 yards and Mills added 3 receptions for 79 yards. Shiloh Kotch led the defense with 12 tackles. Frankenmuth will take its 2 – 0 record to Bridgeport next week for a Tri-Valley East contest.
