This years rematch did not disappoint as both teams are very evenly matched. The Eagles came out of the gate sweeping both Baker Games 180 to 166 and 162 to 142, taking a 10 point lead into the Peterson games. The first Peterson game saw the veteran leadership of the Eagle team take over.
Hunter Garchow 233, Brian Farnsworth 222,
and Logan Pickelmann 176 led the way to an 889 to 862 win. The Eagles locked up the match right then by also taking 3 head to head points. the dukes battled back and won the second Peterson but in the end it was an 18 to 12 victory for the Eagles who handed the Dukes there first loss of the season.
Match Number 2 found the Eagles up against Alma for the first time this season. The Eagles wasted no time again taking both Baker games and a commanding 10 point lead into the peterson’s. Alec Martin 173, Zack Schmitzer 162 and Brian Farnsworth 167 led the way on an oil pattern that was really breaking down and demanded accuracy. The eagles took both Peterson games and the victory 28 to 2
We practiced a lot during the holiday break, more than years past and we looked sharp today. The oil pattern we bowled on demanded accuracy and our guys handled it pretty good. The eagles are now 3 wins and 1 loss for the season and are currently tied for first in the Tri Valley East.
