Eagles News · Eagles JV Soccer defeats the Chargers

On beautiful and windy last day of April, the Eagles JV soccer team traveled to Valley Lutheran to take on the Chargers.  Frankenmuth struck first when Kiera Kern found Neely Cornelius on the right side of the box who blasted a shot from distance for a 1-0 lead.  Valley Lutheran got one back with a speedy breakaway and the half ended at 1-1.  The Eagles got on the board quickly in the 2nd half when Neely returned the favor and found Keira in front of the net for a 2-1 lead.  The spirited Chargers showed no quit in their game and got another goal from a breakaway to knot it up at 2.  Kiera then fed a ball to a newly found striker Evelyn Hill who put the Eagles up 3-2, a score they would hold for the win.  The forward players of Keira, Neely, Evelyn, Abril Shobbrock, Kendal Oster, Kinzlee Karst and Charlotte Hill continue to be patient with their coaches as they move to new positions every game.  They continue to put more pressure on the opposing defenses and will continue to grow in their roles.  Next game for the ladies is May 10 at home when they host Birch Run.
