Coach Stenglein’s retirement thoughts: “As I reflect over the past 26 seasons of coaching at Frankenmuth High School, I am humbled by how my life has been enriched by this opportunity. I have had the privilege of coaching all these seasons with my dear friend John Deterding. We have been blessed by this experience, and have been touched by the lives of so many wonderful people. Both of us are alumni of FHS, so this makes our experience even that much more special. I have to thank our wives for being so supportive during our tenure. I also need to thank our coaching staffs as well as all the staff at FHS for all of their amazing support over the years. I thank God that He has given me this great opportunity to serve Him and others for so many years. I have been blessed with so many wonderful Frankenmuth Soccer Daughters, and their families.”
