Eagles News · Frankenmuth Lady Eagles Earn 8th in the State Finals

The FHS Ladies XC Team placed 8th overall in D2 State Finals today held at Michigan International Speedway.  Our girls went into today’s race looking to finish in the top 10 and they exceeded that expectation!  We had three All-State (top-30) runners today which is something that I don’t believe has happened in Frankenmuth Cross Country history.  Mary Richmond earned 4th place and All-State honors, Sophie Nedoff earned 18th place and All-State honors, Delaney Knoll earned 29th place and All-State honors.  Avery Knoll placed 167th place, Hailey Lenhard placed 179th place, Maddie Zehnder placed 228th place, and Kaitlyn Miller placed 235th.  It was a great day despite the challenges of the races being split and run in two sessions for each gender and combined at the end (no spectators were allowed in the infield area/had to sit in the grandstands).   Congratulations, Ladies!
It was also an honor to have two boys qualify and compete at the State Finals.  Running individually for the FHS Guys XC Team were Collin Fall, who earned a 76th place finish and Grant Conger who earned a 171st place finish – great job guys!
