Eagles News · FHS Track and Field Girls Place 7th in Division 2 MHSAA State Finals


The Frankenmuth Girls Track and Field Team placed 7th out of over 140 Division 2 Schools represented at the MHSAA State Finals held at Zeeland-East High School on June 1.  Despite several weather delays, the girls had a good day with several All-State performances.  All-State athletes (top 8) include:

  • Hayleigh Atkin placing 6th in the 200m race with a time of 26.34
  • 4x100m Relay team consisting of Rebecca Kiser, Alexa Cross, Jenna Bentley, and Hayleigh Atkin placed 2nd just .01 seconds out of first place as they tied the FHS school record with a time of 49.57
  • 4x200m Relay team consisting of Hayleigh Atkin, Jenna Bentley, Alexa Cross, and Courtney Palmer placed 3rd overall setting a season best time of 1:44.49
  • 4x400m Relay team consisting of Avery Knoll, Hayleigh Atkin, Keeley Snell, and Courtney Palmer placing 2nd overall with a time of 4:04.58
