Eagles News · Frankenmuth Fought Hard But Came Up Short

The 2018 season came to a close tonight for the Frankenmuth Eagles losing to Birch Run in the finals of district play 25-23, 21-25, 15-25, 22-25. The Eagles played their hearts out, fought hard but came up short. The match was filled with exciting rallies and well executed offensive and defensive plays on both sides of the net. The Eagles showed great unity tonight and connected together on some stellar plays. Junior setter, Jordyn Conrad (39 assists, 10 digs, 4 kills, 2 aces, 1 block) and junior outside hitter, Brooklin Karwat (.289  hitting percentage, 17 kills, had 13 digs and 2 ace) led the Eagle’s effort. Senior middle blocker, Josie Wagner contributed 5 kills and 6 blocks, senior outside hitter, Meghan Stange added 6 kills and 15 digs, and senior libero Emily Coulter led the team in serve receive attempts with 52 serve (2.0 average rating) and 4 digs.  Sophomore middle hitter, Elle Preseau chipped in 4 kills and 2 blocks, while Danielle Rummel, junior right side hitter, put down 4 kills and 4 blocks.
