Game Recap

The Eagles swept the Millington Cardinals tonight in 3 straight sets (25-21, 25-16, 25-22) in what Coach Conrad believes to be their “breakthrough” match this season. They have lost many close matches and it was their turn tonight to come out on the winning end after a strong team performance. The Eagles played with poise and confidence and stayed focused on the goal of executing as a team and fighting through rallies to win points and finish strong.Their passing and defense was on fire allowing their offense to run smoothly and effectively. They had their best team serving match of the season with a total of 13 aces. They are now 2-1 in TVC East play.

Brooklyn Karwat (sophomore outside hitter) 11 kills, 9 digs, and 4 service aces

Mikayla Philp (senior middle hitter) 10 kills, 5 digs, 2 solo blocks and 2 aces

McKenzie Harmon (senior middle hitter) 3 solo blocks and 4 kills

Grace Kaiser (senior libero) 14 digs

The Eagles travel to Mt. Morris this Saturday for a tournament then play their next TVC East match on October 11th vs. North Branch.
