Game Recap

Frankenmuth hosted a conference game against rival Millington and dropped the first game of the doubleheader 6-1. The game was not indicative of the way the Eagles played as the game was 1-1 going into the 7th inning.

Millington scored first in the 4th inning on a bases loaded sacrifice fly. Down 1 -0 in the bottom of the 6th, Frankenmuth put up a rally to tie the score. Madison Jammer led off the inning with a single. With one out, Emily Coulter dropped down a sacrifice bunt but when the throw went wild, Jammer ran to third base. Hannah Karwat singled to tie the game. In the 7th, Millington scored 5 runs. There is a reason they are ranked #3 in Division 3. They constantly put pressure on you with their lineup. That is why I thought Emily pitched good in this game. 7 IP, 4 BB, 2 SO, 3 H. Our defense played well to keep us in the game.

Hannah Karwat was the only batter with 2 hits. Kaylee Kujat and Madison Jammer each had one hit.
