Lakeville jumped on top early again. A lead off double followed by a 1 out single drove him home.
The Eagles came back in the 2nd. Kyle Robinson doubled to left with 1 out and moved to third on a single by Jackson Mahnke. Joby Ostrofsky then tied the game with a single that scored Kyle and moved Jackson to third. A ground out by Dan Szczepanski brought Mahnke home and put the Eagles up 2-0.
The Eagles led until the 4th. 2 walks and a hit batter loaded the bases with 1 out. After a fly out a grounder to short spelled trouble as the ball got away on the thorw and scored 2 runs for Lakeville. A wild pitch scored another run before the inning could be ended with Lakeville up 5-2. In the 5th Lakeville had a 2 out rally with 3 singles and 2 walks bringing home 2 more runners for the 7-2 lead.
In the bottom of the 7th down 7-2, Mahnke started things by getting hit by pitch. After a line out and and fly out the Eagles sparked a 2 out rally of their own. Freier and Campbell both walked to load the bases and a ground ball up the middle off the bat of Danny Mills was bobbled by the shortstop long enough to let Mahnke score and Mills reach first, unfortunately an Eagle runner got caught aggressively rounding second and was tagged out to end the rally and game, with the final score 7-3. .
Jackson Mahnke led the Eagle hitters going 2-2 with 2 runs scored.
Connor Campbell took the loss throwing 4 2/3 innings giving up 7 hits and 7 runs, 6 earned, walked 6 and struck out 5.
Nick Hartman closed out the game throwing 2 1/3, walking 1, giving up no hits or walks and striking out 2.
