Game Recap

Frankenmuth hosted Lakeville on Parents Night, along with celebrating the seniors on our team. It was a beautiful night for soccer, along with it being a great time to celebrate the accomplishments of the senior class. Frankenmuth was determined to pick up a critical win as they near the end of the regular season. The Eagles came out strong, and Lillian Schmidt would score first with a strong shot on goal after receiving a nice centering pass from Courtney Keyes. Next, Madi Kischnik would send a perfect through ball to Olivia Perrou who put a low shot past the keeper into the near post corner. Minutes later, Kayla Kueffner would send a cross to the far post, and Abbey Kerkau made a strong run to goal and touched in the ball into the far post corner. Lillian Schmidt would now send a through ball to Madi Kischnik who beat the keeper with a low shot. Lillian would pick up her second goal when she touched in a pass from Madeline Walter at the far post. The sixth goal came when Rebecca Kiser found Danielle Rummel near the corner of the 18 yard box. Danielle sent a hard shot on goal past the outstretched arms of the Lakeville keeper. Next, Rebecca would redirect a cross into the back of the goal. Rebecca would again get involved when she slotted a pass to the foot of Sydney Merrihew who place a controlled shot into the corner of the goal. The final goal of the half came when Courtney sent a well paced through ball to Anna Barger who put a controlled shot into the corner of the goal. The game would end with a victory for the #9 Eagles; and now makes the game on Monday against #10 Birch Run critical with respect to the TVC East title. Frankenmuth will play next on Saturday as they host Harbor Beach at 11:00AM. The Eagles are currently 15-1-1 and 10-0-0 in the conference.
