Frankenmuth High School
Freeland High School
Frankenmuth ran into one of the hottest, and most talented, teams in the state tonight as they traveled to Freeland for a TVC crossover contest featuring the top teams in the East and Central divisions. Unfortunately for the Eagles, the Falcons were too much, running away with a 67-39 victory.
Keeping it relatively close at the half, the third quarter proved to be the difference as Freeland outscored the ‘Muth, 25-12, to put the game out of reach. Like all good teams, the Falcons took advantage of Frankenmuth miscues on both ends of the court and showed why they are considered one of the top teams in the state in Class B.
Freeland finished the game with three girls in double figures. Kaylee Argyle had 13 points, while sister Alyssa Argyle finished with 11 and Lake Superior State-signee Jenna Gregory finished with 10.
For the Eagles, senior Hannah Karwat continued her strong play of late, finishing with 12 points and 6 rebounds. The Eagles return to conference play on Tuesday when they host the Bridgeport Bearcats.
