Game Recap

Frankenmuth volleyball traveled to Millington for a conference game on October 21st. After watching and supporting our Freshman and JV teams win their conference games, it was varsity’s turn to take the floor. Frankenmuth defeated Millington in 3 straight sets, 25-14, 25-13 and 25-21. All 12 healthy Eagles were able to take the floor and contribute to the victory. Leading the way for the Eagles was Junior Setter, Lindsey Mertz with 28 assists, 3 digs, and 2 kills. Junior Outside Hitter, Jackie Weess attacked the net hard for the Eagles bringing home 6 kills and 3 digs. Senior Middle Hitter Keri Frahm played tough on the net defense finding 4 blocks and also contributing 4 kills and 1 dig. Senior Defensive Specialist, Raquel Roy was a serving phenom for the Eagles as she found 5 aces, 1 kill, and 3 digs. Senior Opposite Hitter, Madison Wiskur had a terrific night all around finding 1 ace, 4 kills, 3 blocks and 8 digs.

The Eagles continue to work to prepare for upcoming contests to finish the season strong. This weekend the team will travel to Fenton for a 20 team tournament. The last conference game will be next Wednesday at home versus Birch Run where the teams will work to raise money and cleaning supplies for The Mustard Seed Shelter of Saginaw and Wounded Warriors.
