Game Recap

After a busy weekend at the Croswell-Lexington Tournament and selling 50/50 tickets at AutoFest for the Frankenmuth Athletic Association, the Lady Eagles maintained their energy and momentum from Saturday’s championship to come out on top at the St. Charles tri. Frankenmuth was able to watch a great game between St. Charles and Freeland before stepping on to the court themselves.

First up for the Eagles was the Freeland Falcons. The Eagles noted during the previous match that Freeland has great players and can work very well together as a unit. Jackie Weess and Raquel Roy served great from the endline finding two aces while Madison Wiskur and Abby Struble both added a single ace during the match up. Keri Frahm held strong at the net finding 10 kills and 5 blocks. Jackie Weess found 5 kills and 1 block as well as 4 digs. Lindsey Mertz led off strong for the Eagles with 21 assists, 3 digs, 1 block and Hannah Karwat held down the back court with 5 solid digs. The Eagles were able to capture the momentum from the beginning and have a solid showing together as a team. Eagles defeated the Falcons 25-13 and 25-14.

The last match of the night of Frankenmuth vs. St. Charles was a rematch from a tournament already this season where Frankenmuth took St. Charles in 2 sets.
