The Frankenmuth Girl’s Golf Team competed in Chesaning’s 2nd Annual Think Pink Invitational today at Twin Brooks Golf Club. They finished 6th amongst a tough field, some from the Detroit market including Division 1 teams. All of the girls on the team achieved levels of performance that were their best ever.
Sophomore Shayna Schneider broke into the 80s for the first time finishing the day with an 89. She tied for 8th overall individually. Junior Abby Vaughn scored her best 18 hole round ever with 100. Junior Carly McMartin also carded her record low with a score of 105.
Sophomores Paige LaBrenz, Ann Curtis and Audrey Blegen played today in their first 18 hole tournament. In fact, it was their first 18 hole game ever played. They each scored well and continue to gain valuable experience. Their scores were 126, 129, and 153 respectively.
These young player’s upbeat attitudes are infectious and are a valuable part of the team.
